2011 Mini Crossman Spy Shot: Mini is terrible at keeping its future product under wraps. We all saw the Clubman a good year before it actually debuted. Now, here is a development mule for the Crossman, a crossover version of the Mini announced at the company's media conference at the Detroit auto show. Specs aren't avaiilable of course, but a crossover version would likely have all-wheel drive, a higher stance (obvious in this profile shot) and will appeal to people who like the Mini’s compact dimensions and efficiency, but want something a little more masculine.
What We Think
The Crossman will likely be a hit, although we’re surprised that the supposed model year is 2011 since it will likely be based on current mechanicals. The above is a conveniently-timed spy shot, but we'll have to wait a while before we see the final body work. We’ll keep you posted.
